We can provide the respite care you need in Scotland, Northern Ireland, and the Republic of Ireland and this can be in the individuals home or away from home or to facilitate a trip away. Our highly trained nurses and healthcare assistants can step in on a short-term basis to support an individual to enable their family time to recharge while ensuring their loved one receives safe and proper care. This can include emergency respite care, or at regular intervals for people looking for ongoing respite support every so often.
Our Case Managers, who are registered nurses, work closely with individuals, their families and public sector representatives, including local authorities and case managers, as well as private clients and they match each individual’s care to their needs and ensure a safe and effective quality service.
We offer support for both children and adults with any care needs in any location, we’re here whenever – and wherever – you need us.

Premium care at homeWe have provided respite care to an adult with autism and other health needs for a number of years for a few days each time at regular intervals throughout the year. The respite took place in a holiday lodge with our specialist nurses and healthcare assistants who provided consistency and continuity, allowing his mother time to relax and recharge at home.
“My son has been using the Scottish Nursing Guild for his care while on respite breaks for a number of years . We are delighted with the care he receives from everyone concerned. My son has severe behavioural problems and other problems which the staff cope with extremely well and always with good humour. He goes away quite happy with the nurses when they come to pick him up and he is always well cared for when away and comes home happy and looking well. It is a much-needed relaxing break for me (Mother) as I know the guys are taking such good care of him. I really couldn’t praise the staff in all areas higher…they are simply the best.” Mother of a service user
