How long have you been working with the Guild?

“I have been working with the Guild for over three years.”

What type of community work are you involved in?

“I got involved in community care just over five months ago. I currently work with two clients, caring for them in their homes and assisting them in their daily lives.”

What do you enjoy most about working in the community?

“I enjoy working with clients in their homes. It brings a different aspect to caring for people, as you’re immersed in their home life and get to know them and their families on a deeper level.”

Would you recommend community work to other nurses?

“Absolutely! It’s very rewarding and working in a family unit allows you to get to know your patients on a more meaningful level.”

What attracted you to join the Guild?

“The flexibility of the shifts. I am currently a full time student and manage to juggle work and my studies with the help of the Guild.”

How do you feel about being our Community Nurse of the Month?

“I’m absolutely delighted to be nominated. It’s lovely to be recognised and to get this moral boost. Thank you all so much for your ongoing support!”
