How long have you been working with the Guild?

I have been working with the Guild for three years.

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I enjoy making my patients and clients feel safe and respected in my care. I also enjoy building relationships, trust and being part of my patient’s recovery journey. It brings me great happiness when I see my patients or clients achieve their goals. When my patients are happy, I am happy. I generally enjoy helping and caring for others; it is my calling in life. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing another person smile or being thankful for something you have said or done for them. It gives me great pleasure.”

What attracted you to join the Guild?

“I was attracted to work for the Guild by hearing from other colleagues. I was told how well run the Guild was and that staff were friendly and helpful. Colleagues also mentioned they felt appreciated. It has allowed me to work in other ICUs and wards in different hospitals to gain excellent skills and experience in nursing along the way.”

How do you feel about being our Nurse of the Month?

“I feel very happy to be chosen for nurse of the month. It is very kind what the Guild staff have said about me. It’s a privilege and an honour to work for the Guild. Thanks so much to all the staff. It feels amazing to be appreciated by your workplace. It feels so good to know that I am doing good in my role as a nurse, which is very important to me. I’ve always strived to be the best nurse I can be for my patients and clients.”
