Are you a passionate paediatric nurse seeking a dynamic and rewarding work environment?

We are looking for nurses to work in paediatric community packages, caring for children with complex care needs in their own homes across Ireland. You must be a Registered Children’s nurse, Registered General Nurse with paediatric experience or Registered Intellectual Disability Nurse.

You would be working as part of our nurse-led community team and must be registered with the NMBI.

Positions available:

Paediatric Community Nurse – Countrywide

Package details: Registered Children’s Nurses or Registered General Nurses with paediatric experience required to join our Nurse-Led community team in looking after children with complex care needs in their own homes.

Location: Across Ireland

Payscale: €49.50 – €64.50 per hour

Hours required: Full-time and part-time day/night hours available Monday to Friday (minimum commitment 1 day per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to a child
  • Care of a child with a disability
  • Airway management
  • Seizure Management
  • Management of enteral feeding
  • Medication management
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Provide play and family support

Paediatric Community Nurse – Tipperary

Package details: Registered Children’s Nurse or Registered General Nurse with paediatric experience required to join our Nurse-Led community team in looking after a child.

Location: Southwest Tipperary

Payscale: €49.50 – €64.50 per hour

Hours required: 8 x Daytime Hours on Tuesday/Wednesday (minimum commitment 1 day per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to a child
  • Care of a child with a disability
  • Monitoring for signs and symptoms of aspiration/ respiratory distress
  • Management of enteral feeding and medication management
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Provide play and family support

Paediatric Community Nurse – Clare

Package details: Registered Children’s Nurse or Registered General Nurse with paediatric experience required to join our Nurse-Led community team in looking after a baby.

Location: Northeast Clare

Payscale: €49.50 – €64.50 per hour

Hours required: : 4 x Night Hours Monday to Friday (minimum commitment 1 day per week)

Responsibilities:

  • Provide nursing care to a baby
  • Seizure management 
  • Management of Nasogastric feeding and medication management
  • End of life care
  • Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Pressure area care

Qualifications & Requirements

  • A valid NMBI pin
  • A minimum of 6 months experience in the last 2 years working on medical and surgical wards, with patients from birth to 18 years old. Specialist nurses will require at least 12 months recent experience.
  • Up-to-date HSEland training
  • Proficient with IV administration
  • A willingness to work to our company expectations
  • Occupational Health clearance
  • Garda vetting

  • Demonstrate a caring and compassionate nature, treating patients, carers and relatives with respect, dignity, and kindness
  • Able to pick up shifts at short notice, sometimes with only an hour’s notice. However, we will only contact you for last-minute shifts if you have already told us that you are available to work during those hours.
  • Foster a culture of openness and honesty, communicating effectively with the Guild staff, clients, and patients
  • Able to integrate easily into new teams and be an asset during each shift
  • Flexible and willing to travel to surrounding counties to support clients
  • Reliable and punctual
