Nurse of the Month

Adele was chosen to be Nurse of the Month following some fantastic feedback from the Edinburgh Team.

“Adele has been the cornerstone of one of our longstanding private community packages. She consistently goes above and beyond for the client, who has been extremely complimentary of her care. Over the years, they have developed a fondness for each other, yet Adele has always maintained professional boundaries and shown great respect towards the client. The client has now chosen to move to residential care due to increasing frailty and a need for 24/7 care, and the package has now concluded. Thank you, Adele, for a job well done and upholding the high standards of care set by the Guild.”

We caught up with Adele to see how she feels about being our Nurse of the Month.

How long have you been working with the Guild?

“I joined the guild originally in 2012 and did the occasional shift, but I joined the guild full-time after having my little boy in 2015 and have never looked back.”

What do you enjoy most about your job?

“I love the flexibility! I was always scared to leave my full-time job, but luckily, there has always been enough work. Even though the Guild is an agency, I also find that the support and backup from the call centre and case managers are second to none. They are always at the end of the phone.”

What attracted you to join the Guild?

“The flexibility, pay and the perfect work-life balance.”

How do you feel about being our Nurse of the Month?

“Shocked! I think it’s so lovely to be nominated and I’m super grateful. It’s nice to be recognised for doing a job I truly love.”
